HOM Furniture is set to open its largest store complex here Saturday, a 185,000-square-foot Furniture & Design Center featuring its three main retail banners.
HOM Furniture’s 185,000-square-foot Furniture & Design Center in Little Canada, Minn., opens Saturday with HOM, Gabberts and Dock 86 showrooms.
The Coon Rapids, Minn.-based Top 100 company announced plans for the complex at Interstates 694 and 35E this past summer. It features an 80,000-square-foot HOM Furniture, a 35,000-square-foot Gabberts Design Studio and Fine Furniture showroom, a 60,000-square-foot, bargain-oriented Dock 86 and a 10,000-square-foot customer service and pickup area.
Connie Post International designed the interior and Archnet USA of Stillwater, Minn., provided exterior design work.
The high-end Gabberts showroom is HOM’s second in the Twin Cities metro area. Since HOM acquired Edina, Minn.-based Gabberts in 2008, it has opened additional Gabberts showrooms in Sioux City, Iowa, Sioux Falls, S.D., and Fargo, N.D.
“By bringing all three of our brands together in one convenient shopping destination, we can now provide our customers with hundreds of fine brands, exciting products and custom design solutions to suit every budget,” HOM President and CEO Rod Johansen said in a release.
