A SANTA MONICA CANYON BEDROOM
In the master bedroom of the Santa Monica Canyon home of designers Jeffrey Alan Marks and Ross Cassidy, a vintage rowboat hangs upside down from the ceiling. Walls are upholstered in a Les Indiennes cotton, and a bench designed by Marks is covered in a printed linen from Christopher Farr.
AN IBIZA BEDROOM
At the weekend retreat of brothers Antonio and Ignacio Saorin Lopez de Ayala, on the Spanish island of Ibiza, a guest bedroom—nicknamed "the Captain's Room"—is carved out of the rocky bluff on which the main house sits, and opens onto a private terrace. A canopy of Indian mosquito netting hangs over the bed; the wood floor is painted white.
A DARIEN, CONNECTICUT BEDROOM
For her family's house in Darien, Connecticut, textile designer Susan Harris decorated a guest room with a vintage French rattan bureau, a Swedish wool rug, and ceramic lamps. The cotton-linen fabrics for the headboard, bedcover, bed skirt, and pillow shams are by Harris's firm, SeaCloth.
A HUDSON VALLEY BEDROOM
Former Veranda editor-in-chief Dara Caponigro and her husband, David Steinberger, used a bold print to enliven an otherwise all-white sleeping alcove at their lakeside home in New York's Hudson Valley. The wood-frame bed is dressed in a floral linen-cotton coverlet by Brunschwig & Fils.
A HAWAII BEDROOM
Michael S. Smith decorated the master bedroom of a 1930s home on a Hawaiian island with a Ming-style bed of his own design. The bed linens are by John Robshaw Textiles.
A BAHAMAS BEDROOM
Dressed with IKEA curtains, a wrought-iron lit à la polonaise with an eight-foot-tall canopy takes center stage in the master bedroom of Tom Scheerer's 200-year-old cottage on Harbour Island in the Bahamas. Painted in pastel green, the room is kept shady and cool by louvered shutters.
A HUDSON VALLEY BEDROOM
Martina Arfwidson of FACE Stockholm and her husband, David Weiss, chose a Swedish palette for the guest room of their Georgian Revival house in New York's Hudson Valley. The bed is covered with Hedström & Judd linens, and a side chair comes from Arfwidson's childhood home in Stockholm.
A WISCONSIN BEDROOM
In the bedroom of a Wisconsin home, the linens and bedside table are vintage. The bench is from the '50s, and the rug is by Dash & Albert. The Chinese vessel once belonged to Elsie de Wolfe.
A GEORGIA BEDROOM
In this Athens, Georgia home the homeowner made the mahogany platform bed in this guest cottag. The candlewicked coverlet is from the 1800s.
A QUEBEC MASTER BEDROOM
In this lakeside family home in Canada, a pair of photographs by John Woolf hang in the master bedroom. The bed was built by Larry Ethier, the wall behind it is painted in Farrow & Ball's Churlish Green, and the adjacent wall is maple veneer.
AN AMAGANSETT MASTER BEDROOM
In Athena and Victor Calderon's Hamptons home, the master bedroom opens onto the terrace and pool. The bench is from a railroad, the curtains are of a Robert Allen linen, and the ceiling fan is by Emerson.
